about when this day would come the iphone 5 went on sale this morning at 8:00 at this store in georgetown and along the east coast. people were lined up for much of the last 24 hours, a dozen of them, hoping to be among the first to get their hands on the new phone. the new iphone is not that much different from the iphone 4s but it is thinner and faster and has a new map system, but many say that map does not work properly. most of the folks don't care especially eric, who had been here since 8:00 tonight and was the first in georgetown to get the new iphone. >> we all love the latest technology. this is the best way to be part of that change.

republican nominee mitt romney will campaign this afternoon in las vegas. his running mate paul ryan is in new orleans. ann romney is campaigning in nebraska. following a developing story out of washington. in northwest at the u.s. attorney's office on fourth street in northwest an fbi source tells abc news four people came into contact with a package. it's not clear what was inside. police or on the scene for about an hour before giving the all clear. we are waiting to learn more about an fbi search taking place right now in virginia. newschopper 7 captured this video from 3800 wagon wheel lane in woodbridge. it's not related to the president's visit nearby. a and other anti-american protest overseas, 15 people dead after police opened fire on rioters in pakistan. they had set fire to a cinema.
